Members of 2KBW regularly appear in the Court Martial, both in the UK and overseas. We have considerable experience in defending members of the Armed Forces of all ranks and rates, both in relation to criminal offences tried in the Court Martial under the Armed Forces Act 2006 and service offences unique to the military.
Our barristers are well versed in what is a specialised area of practice, and in the unique features and complexities of service life. Members are able to advise and represent defendants and potential defendants at all levels, including appeals to the summary appeal court from a Commanding Officer’s hearing, trial by Court Martial, and appeals to the Summary Appeal Court.
Barristers at 2KBW also have expertise in defending civilians subject to service discipline in the Service Civilian Court, as well as representing serving and former members of all services in the wider civilian court system.
