Grooming gang convicted – Tim Clark KC led Josh Happé for the Crown
Tim Clark KC and Josh Happé have achieved convictions whilst prosecuting four men in a grooming gang in a six week trial at Birmingham Crown Court – Man guilty of repeatedly raping runaway Birmingham girl, 16, who was shared around in hotel room – Birmingham Live
They were instructed by the CPS West Midland RASSO unit in this sensitive case involving a vulnerable 16-year-old girl who was abused by the four defendants at a time when she had run away from home. Josh was instructed as the “disclosure junior” and spent many hours looking through social service and other records ensuring that the complex disclosure issues in the case were appropriately dealt, working with the West Midlands Police and the CPS. Sentencing has been adjourned to March 2026.
