Maurice Jones, 25, from Salisbury, fatally stabbed Tsvetomir Genov on 22 August 2023 whilst he was walking his son in his buggy along the street where Jones lived.

Jones left his house and approached the victim to confront him about issues relating to Mr Genov’s child and former partner.  Mr Genov died at the scene and Jones ran off, discarding the knife and his trousers.  He pleaded not guilty, stating he had the knife only for protection and had lost control of himself but the jury at Salisbury Crown Court found him guilty of murder.  He will be sentenced on 18 July 2024.
