January 22, 2018

Oliver Weetch and Richard Hutchings both acted as led junior counsel for two defendants accused with three others of conspiring to murder two people.

The two defendants were alleged to have been part of a three man team hired by two high-level drug dealers to kill two other higher-lever drug dealers to whom they owed substantial debts. The trial at Lewes Crown Court sitting at Hove lasted for some seven weeks at the end of which both defendants were acquitted.

Both counsel were instructed by Macauley Smith & Co.
