Overview

After completing her law degree in 2018, Lily undertook a master’s degree in Jurisprudence and Legal Theory at UCL. She completed the bar course with an academic scholarship and commenced pupillage at 2KBW in October 2023. She was awarded the Certificate of Honour prize by Middle Temple for achieving above 80% overall in the bar course. Lily secured tenancy in October 2024.

She won the annual Kalisher Trust Essay Competition for criminal pupils in 2024, with an essay about proposed reform to the Online Safety Act 2023.

Lily prosecutes and defends in the Crown Court and Magistrates’ Court.

Before joining the bar, Lily had worked at the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) as a Crown Court Paralegal in Woolwich and Kingston Crown Court, and later as a specialist Victim Liaison Officer in the CPS London South Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Unit (RASSO).

Lily is a member of the Executive Committee of the South Eastern Circuit.

Crime

R v MC – Reading Crown Court – Trial (2025) – OPERATION JETTYHEAD
Lily was junior prosecution counsel for a 4-week trial on conspiracy to steal domestic and commercial animals across a one-year period, led by Richard Sedgwick and instructed by the Complex Casework Unit.

R v A – Isleworth Crown Court – Trial (2024)
Prosecuted a domestic burglar using forensic evidence left at the scene, he was sentenced to more than 4 years in custody.

R v A – Inner London Crown Court – Trial (2024)
Prosecuted a single count of possession of articles for use in frauds.

R v R – Ipswich Magistrates’ Court – Trial (2024)
Defended at trial, made a successful section 78 submission on the identification evidence used by the Crown. The case was dismissed against all co-defendants during the trial.
