‘Operation Cushion’ concludes at Reading Crown Court

Angus Robertson led Richard Sedgwick at Reading Crown Court in March 2017 in a trial involving 8 defendants, the last of whom was sentenced on 6th July 2017.

The case involved section 18 wounding with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault and perverting the course of justice and concerned what was described in court as a ‘brutal’ attack by up to 12 persons on two defenceless young males in a park in Slough. Convictions were secured on the assault charges.

Counsel were instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service, Reading.
