Man sentenced for running online child abuse chat groups – Rebecca Austin prosecuted for the Crown
Rebecca was instructed by CPS Organised Child Sexual Abuse Unit, Regional and Wales Division, to prosecute the NCA investigation, Operation RITORNEL. This was an investigation into the facilitation of the sexual abuse of children and the sharing of images and videos of abuse. Some of the victims were months old. The court recognised that the activities of the defendant were correctly identified by the crown as organised crime.
