Man Jailed for Life for Rapes of Children – Russell Pyne Prosecuted for the Crown
Russell successfully prosecuted Kieran Bond, 33, who had denied any wrongdoing. A jury in July 2025, sitting at Southampton Crown Court, convicted Bond of six counts of Rape of a Child Aged Under 13. Four of these offences related to a boy aged approx. 8, and two related to a girl aged approx. 5.
Following the convictions, and after asking for reports to consider appropriate sentences, HHJ Lucie on 27th October 2025 imposed six life sentences on Bond. He will serve a minimum of 16 years.
Russell was instructed in the case by the Wessex Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO) unit.
