Simon is a highly regarded advocate specialising in complex crime.
He spends much of his time prosecuting the most serious cases in particular on the Western Circuit where he has been based since joining chambers 40 years ago.
A Circuit “heavyweight”, Simon is regularly instructed in complex cases such as county lines drugs cases, multi handed gang crime in addition to those cases involving vulnerable defendants and victims.
A much sought after Grade 4 RASSO prosecutor, Simon has a reputation as being a formidable opponent in Court.
Simon has acted as Lead Counsel in numerous cases involving serious organised criminal gangs and cases involving multi-perpetrator child sexual exploitation.
Simon has been a Recorder of the Crown Court for over 20 years.
