Alexia Nicol secures not guilty murder verdict at Woolwich Crown Court
Alexia Nicol, led by Ben Newton KC, represented X, one of three children charged with Murder at Woolwich Crown Court. X was found not guilty of Murder.
The Crown’s case was that they had lured a man who they believed was a paedophile to the beach intending to kill him. The Deceased had given a 16 year old girl his number and told her she was really pretty. When he arrived to meet her, he was then hit with a bottle and rocks were thrown at him.
X was convicted of Manslaughter and will be sentenced later this year.
