2 KBW members judge University of Cambridge Lady Margaret Moot
2 KBW was delighted to once again support the annual Lady Margaret Moot competition at the University of Cambridge.
Russell Pyne, Mark Trafford KC, Lily Hines and Jessica Kayanja attended on Saturday 7th March 2026 to adjudicate first, second and third-year law undergraduates in the Moot. Students from St John’s College and Christ’s College appeared before a simulated Court of Appeal to argue whether the trial judge had erred in upholding a submission of no case to answer. The moot involved a fictitious criminal appeal which engaged issues of causation in murder and the limits of consent in tattooing.
Ultimately, the appeal was dismissed, but the appellants were awarded best overall mooting team for their advocacy.
