Oliver Weetch and Archie Manby successfully conclude large scale drugs line prosecution
Four defendants were sentenced last week for their part in a conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin using two dedicated drug lines over the period of just under a year.
Three of the four defendants had contested the matter at a trial earlier this year at Woolwich Crown Court which lasted four weeks and involved complex cell-site and drugs expert witness evidence as well as large volumes of phone messaging and call data material all tying them to their involvement in the drugs lines. All three were convicted by the jury.
A fourth defendant pleaded guilty just before the trial began.
The drugs lines had supplied over 7 kilos of Class A drugs during the conspiracy period.
The main defendant was sentenced to 10 years 6 months imprisonment, two others to 9 years 6 months imprisonment and the defendant who pleaded guilty to 7 years 6 months imprisonment.
Oliver Weetch led Archie Manby, instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service.
