Josh Scouller in success at Court of Appeal

January 9, 2018

Josh Scouller successfully appealed against the convictions for theft and fraud of a client at the Court of Appeal. The Appellant was convicted after trial at Croydon Crown Court. Josh argued that the convictions were unsafe and the Court found that the Judge’s summing up was deficient in that it failed to explain the necessary ingredients of the offences, did not sum up the facts fairly or clearly and gave erroneous directions in respect of the expert evidence and inferences from silence. The convictions were quashed and no retrial was sought by the Crown.

Josh was instructed by GT Stewart Solicitors.
