Introducing Roberta Brandter

April 2, 2026

2KBW is pleased to announce that Roberta Brandter has commenced her second six with the Family and Civil Team. Roberta is completing the next stage of her pupillage under the supervision of Nigel Gowling and has been involved in a broad range of Children Act, Family Law Act and financial remedies work. She has also gained experience in civil disputes, particularly in small claims.

Roberta read Modern and Medieval Languages at the University of Oxford, where she was a Reuben Scholar. She subsequently completed the PGDL at BPP University and the Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy. She was awarded the Lord Astbury Scholarship by The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.

Prior to pupillage, Roberta worked in education as a child mentor and as a paralegal at Macfarlanes LLP, where she was seconded to Hayfin Capital Management LLP.

In her spare time, Roberta enjoys playing tennis, reading and visiting art galleries.

Ahead of starting her second six, Roberta said:
“I am very grateful to Natalie for her supervision and guidance during the last six months. She has been an inspiration in her nuanced, intelligent approach to client care as well as advocacy. It has been rewarding to observe a wide range of family and civil work, and I am also grateful to other members of chambers for generously sharing their time and expertise.

“I am excited to begin my practising second six and to work under Nigel’s supervision. I am particularly interested in family law and hope to build on my experience supporting individuals in private matters”.

Roberta is available to take instructions from 1 April 2026.
