Driver in aggravated burglary conspiracy found guilty after trial and sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment – John Lloyd-Richards led Matilda Robinson-Murphy for the Crown

March 28, 2024

Niall Patrick was found guilty following trial of being the driver of a Seat Leon for an organised crime group which sought to target cannabis factories. In the early hours of the 17th December 2019, five properties were attacked, four of which were ordinary residential properties. The occupiers of those four properties were attacked by the raiders with machetes and hammers inflicting serious injuries to innocent members of the public.

The jury found Niall Patrick to be one of the drivers who transported offenders to the different properties. The eight others involved in this conspiracy have already been found guilty in a separate trial or pleaded guilty earlier in proceedings.
