Overview
Samantha was called to the Bar in 2025, having achieved a Distinction in the Barrister Training Course with an integrated Master’s degree, following receipt of an Exhibition Scholarship from the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. Prior to completing the Bar course, Samantha read English and French Law at the University of Kent, completing a four-year degree which included a year studying French law, taught in French, at Aix-Marseille Université in the South of France.
Prior to commencing pupillage with 2KBW, Samantha spent time as a Child Litigation Paralegal at Hertfordshire County Council and as a Paralegal within the National Crime Agency. These roles allowed her to gain valuable experience and insight into public law care proceedings, and matters such as legal professional privilege reviews, bail, Section 49 RIPA Applications, and production order applications.
Alongside her paralegal roles, Samantha volunteered as an Appropriate Adult with the Hertfordshire Youth Justice Service, supporting young persons under arrest. More recently, she has volunteered as a Trade Union Representative for the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers’ Union, where she assisted those with employment issues in the workplace.
Samantha began her pupillage in January 2026 under the supervision of John Lloyd-Richards, and will be accepting instructions from July 2026.
