
Overview
Philippa joined Chambers as a tenant in October 2025 upon successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Natalie Wood and Nigel Gowling. Philippa is developing a broad practice and accepts instructions in all areas of family law including public and private children work, financial remedies and applications under the Family Law Act 1996. She also undertakes civil work in a number of common law fields.
Philippa was called to the Bar in 2022 after completing her Law Degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2020. Prior to commencing pupillage Philippa worked at Refuge with those affected by domestic violence, gaining experience in supporting and advocating for vulnerable clients. She also spent time as a County Court Advocate, attending hearings in a variety of civil law matters including bankruptcy, civil applications and procedural hearings, and landlord and tenant matters. Philippa also volunteers regularly as a counsellor for Childline and has been doing so since 2019.
