
Overview
Lauren was called to the Bar in 2024 at Middle Temple following successful completion of the Barrister Training Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy. Prior to completing the Bar court, Lauren studied Criminology at Anglia Ruskin University and went on to gain her Post Graduate Diploma in Law at London Southbank, receiving a Commendation.
Before joining 2KBW to complete her second six, Lauren started her pupillage at Hill Twine Solicitors, defending both Legal Aid and private clients in the Crown Court and Magistrates Court. Further to this, Lauren also gained her Police Station Representative Accreditation and is able to represent clients at the police station.
Before coming to the Bar, Lauren gained considerable experience of criminal law and proceedings as a Trainee Legal Adviser at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court. She sat across all types of cases including, trials, overnight remands, sentencing, and traffic courts with Magistrates and Judges. Lauren would thoroughly advise magistrates, assist unrepresented defendants and observe advocacy. Prior to this Lauren worked as a High Court Judge’s clerk, providing support on high profile Crown Court trials and in the Court of Appeal Criminal Division.
Additionally, Lauren volunteers with Trailblazers. A charity that provides 1:1 mentoring to inmates at HMP Brixton, in order to support them upon release from custody and reduce reoffending.
