We are deeply saddened to hear that James Britton has passed away. Jim was a much-loved member of 2KBW for nearly 20 years before his appointment as a District Judge on the Western Circuit in 2016, since when he remained a good friend of many in chambers.

Chambers are pleased to announce that Suki Dhadda, Kate Fortescue and Robert Forrest have been appointed Grade 4 Prosecutors by the Crown Prosecution Service. We congratulate each of them and welcome them to our 16 strong team of Grade 4 Prosecutors.
Following 6 weeks of trial, HHJ J Lodge acceded to the submissions of no case to answer and withdrew the case from the jury. The defendants were on trial for Murder, Manslaughter, Section 18 and Section 20.
On Wednesday 6th October at 16:30, Steven Perian QC will be taking part in the first session of “See it – Believe it – Achieve it” open to all via Teams which will involve an interview style format with hosts getting to really know speakers – from their early beginnings to finding their career and the obstacles they may have faced along the way and what they did to overcome them. There will be a Q & A at the end for the audience to get involved.
The trial is ongoing at Warwick Crown Court.
